I see no problem at all - age discrimination is illegal but
besides that, your scenario doesn't even sound unusual to me.
Am I missing something? It sounds like you must have started
teaching in your twenties, and you still have 15+ years until
retirement... in terms of age you shouldn't even stand out.
Much more important would be your resume (have you moved
around a lot from district to district?), references (sounds
as though they'd be good), and how you respond to interview
questions.
