We've gotten ideas from character education lesson plans at the
website below - most aren't writing prompts but you may find something
you can use, or something you can modify into a writing assignment.
There are also some lessons that have a reading for students and they
respond to questions about the reading; those can be done
independently by the students as long as the reading level is
appropriate.
