I agree with ILadmin. Almost certainly someone, somewhere, is
going to be abandoning something mid-year to take this position.
It's just a question of whether that 'someone' will be you or
someone else.
You have support from your current employer (assuming HR agrees
with your principal) and we can assume the hiring district is
also aware that anytime a mid-year admin position is filled
there's likely to be someone leaving something else behind. The
main question is simply whether or not YOU are okay with it
yourself. If you are, go for it. If not, sit this one out and try
