Thanks for your thoughtful responses. I really wasn't thinking
of it as a "people work" vs. "paperwork". But, I see your point.
I agree that paperwork can wait till after hours. Teachers know
this only too well.
We have teachers at my school who are not going to be happy, no
matter what, much like the teachers you both described. Mainly,
they do not agree with the style of leadership that exists.
I suppose my question is ... When do you just give up? I think
that the attention given to these naysayers is exactly what they
want.
