Maybe the rigorous interview process is because they have not
met AYP and need to vet applicants more deeply. Demos,
questionnaires and other evidence gathering process vary by
district. With the job market as it is districts can delve
deeper into applicant attributes and skills.

My interviews with applicants take about 1.25 - 1.5 hours one
on one. When doing a round robin for group format it can take
2+ hours.
