    Some "good" teachers might decide to pass on a district that
    has so many openings this late in the year. That's a red flag
    to a job hunter or job changer, indicating disorganization and
    lack of planning, at best, and possibly very bad working
    conditions, including unruly students...in other words,
    something caused the twenty teachers to leave their
    jobs in a terrible economy. I also think it takes more than an
    afternoon to comprise a list of good applicants. I am sure
    you'd get a large response from newspaper help wanted ads, and
    the national teacher employment sites and job-bots such as
    educationamerica, teachers-teachers, simplyhired, etc. I would
    have thought that principals keep files of outstanding
    candidates they interviewed in the past but were not chosen.
