If it's really urgent, I actually hope the parent sends an email. Then,
I can guarantee the issue gets a response same day.
If you call - - you'll leave a message. I won't likely be able to come to
the phone as I am with a class.
Then, I'll try to call you back later and you won't be home. So, I leave
a message. Teachers are NOT very available for phone calls, so phone
calls frequently initiate several days of phone tag until both people
actually happen to be available at the same time and can talk.
Email has a huge advantage in that we don't have to both be available at
the same time.
