Re: A Question With All Due Respect About Negotiations?
Posted by sasha...teacher on 5/07/08

I teach in Louisiana. Each district varies in union
involvement. Some districts have a very active union and
some have no union involvement. I have worked in both. I
am currently teaching in a district where only a few belong
to a union. In this district there is no negotiation. If
you don't like it, you leave. If you compain to loud, you
will be "talked to" and eventually run-off. The district
controls the teachers through fear and intimidation. Guess
what?? I am leaving at the end of this school year.
