    serve in an advisory capacity much of the time. They are trying to
    serve the students, the parents, the community, the faculty and
    the staff, along with complying with the rules and regulations of
    the superintendent, the school board, the state and the feds.

    The suggestion to teach well is a good one, but also be aware of
    where you can help out in the school. Advising is important. If
    you have that kind of relationship with your site or district
    leaders I think your voice can be heard. One thing people tend to
    forget when they have offered their oponion, is that tho the other
    person may have listened, they may not choose it.

    Another way to make changes is to get active in politics.
    Non-educators make almost all of the laws regarding schooling and
    school funding in America. I'd love to see that change!
