    Are you certain they are losing their jobs due to budget
    cuts? Most of the teachers you describe would be
    probationary, so there may be other reasons (which may
    remain unknown) for their leaving. Unless the administration
    or school board has actually come out and SAID that these
    teachers are leaving because of budget cuts, and SAID that
    they will be replaced, I'd question that. Normally where
    schools are laying off teachers due to budget cuts, those
    teachers aren't replaced... class sizes are raised to
    accommodate having fewer teachers. The district can save
    money by having fewer teachers... the savings is MUCH
    smaller if the teachers are replaced... and even smaller
    still if the new teachers require extensive training. It's
    hard to believe it would be worth the savings at all, even
    harder to believe when you factor in the best interests of
    the students, the issues it raises with NCLB, etc.
