POST: Job Offer Question--New Teacher

I am new to the profession and 08/09 will be my first
year. I had an interview last week with a 3 person panel
(Principal/Assistant Principal/Department Chair). I left
the interview with a good feeling. MY QUESTION IS: Who
makes the offer? Will I be contacted by the principal or
the Human Resources Department ? Will I sign a contract
right away ? How long could the decision take ? Does the
principal make the final decision, or is it a voting
process ? Thanks for your advice.
