    Post: Nervous

Posted by Just Another Teacher on 8/06/08

I am a middle aged high school teacher with ten years of
experience. I have been in this same school for several
years and I am pretty conscientious, but easy going. I have
never gotten a bad PDAS rating and I even worked over the
summer to prepare for classes. So why am I so afraid of this
one administrator? He know that I will be at school later
this week, so he told me to come by. It just seems that I
can do nothing right in this AP's eyes and it makes
anticipating every meeting with him just a nightmare. Do
administrators realize how they can really negatively impact
the way teachers perform? This particular AP is also my PDAS
evaluator. I wish I wasn't so nervous around the
administrator, but I always feel lacking. He's hardly ever
complementary of my work and always finds fault. When I had
a different administrator a few years back, it wasn't this
way. I feel sick and I know I won't sleep at all tonight.
