Posted by Kathy on 10/04/08 What state are you in? Each state had slightly different interpretations of the regs regarding students placed in private schools by parents. They all must adhere to the federal regs, but some states go much further regarding LEA participation/outreach. Have you visited the state website for your department of ed to read the language of the state regulation? This may help you to understand what your obligation is as the community in which the school is located as opposed to the student's community of residence.
