I am in the end stages of my teaching credential program and
just realized I am 5 classes short of a MA. Part of me just
wants to get it done so I can fall higher on the salary
schedule, but I have also been warned that there is a
possibility I will not get tenured since the district will
have to pay me more.
Does anybody have experience in similar shoes? Is the idea of
having an MA being a deterrent for tenure an urban legend?
