Subject: Our High School Principal Has Mental Issues!
    Poster: Concerned Teacher

I have been teaching at a public high school in a city
school district for a number of years. The teaching staff
is very concerned about our principal. She has always been
bipolar, but recently has been showing signs of being manic
depressive. She smiles or laughs one minute and flies into
a rage the next. The school secretaries and aides have
reported that she spends most of the day in her office,
watching students and teachers over closed-circuit
television monitors that are hooked up to security cameras.
The staff is extremely concerned about the principal's
conduct. We are seeking advice from the administrators on
this message board as to how to get her the mental and
medical help that she so desperately needs. The principal
is unhappily married and her husband is away from home much
of the time. We are not aware of any other family members
or friends that she may have.

She recently sent out three peculiar emails under two
different assumed names from her home computer. We are
certain these emails are from her because, at the school,
tensions are very high between one of the male assistant
principals and herself, as evidenced by the first email sent
to a male teacher she gave a really hard time to. She sent
out the other two emails to a female teacher she is
    apparently romantically interested in.

One of the staff members examined a printout of the
email header data from the three emails. He was able to
deduce that the emails were sent from the principal's home
computer by comparing their header data with the header data
of weekend emails about staff parties and upcoming holiday
events that the principal signed her name to. Also, the
principal is not a native speaker of English. She makes
grammatical errors when writing at length.

The three emails are below to give you an idea of what
the staff has to contend with. The last two were replied
to. Identifying details have been removed.

    Email #1

    Dear [FIRST TEACHER],
I know of you through my teacher friend from [NAME OF
SCHOOL]. I know what happened with you last year. I am so
sorry, but you are fighting back. Good for you. However, you
have forgotten to fight that horrible men. What is up with
that? My friend told me that he is horrible and treated you
violently. You should file investigations. My friend feels
scare. He screams at students, and you know how he is. I
hope you continue making justice and get him out.
I am traveling to China to teach English and will not be
having internet communication. This is why I am writing
this last minute email. To help my friend. I know I can
count on you to make justice. This guy is horrible and violent.

    Please help my friend,

Not at this point. If you want to hook up, just go find
someone on Ok Cupid. And anyway, I don't think your boss
would like this, Ms. [PRINCIPAL'S REAL LAST NAME].
