    Some things to consider are the rules/policies regarding
    positions and placement. I would guess a position would need
    to be open in order for someone interested in changing a job
    designation. That's the process in my State.

    Your desire to move shouldn't impact another persons position.

    It may be that you would need to apply or if permitted a
    change in assignment could be at the discretion of the admin
    based upon certifications.

    With that in mind, the only way the admin will know is if you
    approach them, talk about possibilities if something were to
    be available.

    The admin may not know your future professional goals.
