Ica,
This school allows parents to write letters to our principal
either requesting that their child not be placed with another
child, or to request teacher. The issue with this is that the
parent has to give explicit reasoning for that request - i.e.
teaching style, issues with a student, etc. A parent can
completely make up their reasoning and it continues to muddy the
waters. We recently released the teacher of each student to the
parents this week and multiple parents called upset with their
child's teacher (their request was not fulfilled). Our principal
(new to our school) is not budging and the parents are threatening
going to the superintendent. If our district does not technically
have a policy regarding teacher requests, can the superintendent
over ride him if the reasoning the parents give is really not valid?
