Why were three deans and a AP involved? People stepping out
into the hall and butting in sounds like this school is
unorganized and maybe that is one reason students act out.
Which one of the four was the designated step in the
discipline ladder in the situation? The first inappropriate
thing the VP did was to butt in and ask to speak with the
    student.

Why the focus on the AP and whether he was disciplined or
not? Your main concern should be that the school addresses
and terminates students' insubordination toward the
teachers. It is the student's parent's job or the AP's
superior to file a complaint against the AP, and not anyone
    else's.
