A good "team" has a plan and procedures. They coordinate. The
AP asking to speak to the student during the deans' or dean's
disciplining sounds like he was interfering and not adhering to
established procedures. Exactly what IS the procedure? You
should be able to list the steps. If you can't, then it doesn't
sound organized. And four admins addressing a student's
misbehavior sounds like overkill. No wonder the students are
frustrated.
If you believe the AP acted inappropriately, you should write a
formal complaint to his superior. Since you have posted on a
public forum, my response to your post is that you are focusing
on the wrong thing - you should be focusing on the student's
classroom behavior. The AP did not make the classroom
behavior worse.
