In this particular high school, the school staff works together
in teams to understand the emotional needs of students and to
educate them as to acceptable conduct in classrooms, hallways,
the gym, the cafeteria, the library, etc. There is absolutely
NO reason for any of the administrators to speak
in such a fashion to any student, regardless of what the student
had said. Doing so is equivalent to pedagogical ignorance and
might even be construed as a form of verbal abuse.
The deans were gathering together as a disciplinary group in
order to correct the student's misbehavior. However, the
disciplinary issue relating to this particular student became
considerably worse due to the AP's inappropriate verbal response
and general mismanagement of the entire situation.
