    Thank you for replying.... Just wanted to give you an update.
    I am in New Jersey. In New Jersey a teacher is eligible for
    tenure after 4 years. Tenure is award depending that you have
    been teaching in a position that you hold full certification
    for. I spoke with a representative from NJEA and it was
    explained that yes a school district could hire a teacher back
    for a fifth year without offering tenure. I really appreciate
    all the information you shared.
