Thank you again. He did tell me at the end of the interview that he was
going to interview one other person that same day and they would be
making a quick decision. I sent him a thank-you email that night.
Then when I called two weeks later just to "check back," they were
"still interviewing." I sent another brief email last Monday,
reiterating my interest, etc. No response. This is why I am not
constantly applying for jobs. I know you have to apply if you want to
get a job, but this process - all the preparation, filling out lengthy
applications, and the ultimate rejections- are so demoralizing that I
can only take so much. I guess it's back to subbing this fall.
